I have a problem with final fantasy 8 on epsxe 1.7.0...in some battles it goes really...i mean really,slow...my configuration is

Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2
AMD Phenom(tm) 9550 Quad-Core 2.21
3.0 GB RAM
ASUS ATI Radeon EAH4670 series 512 VRAM

have you set the VRAM manually in the video config menu? the autodetect setting will not work and it will cause performance issues if it is in use so make sure you set it manually.
