the website which displays the ePSXe compatibility list (epsxe.emu2k.com) shows that Final Fantasy 10 (of coz the japanese version at the moment) is playable on ePSXe IF u have a DVD-rom of coz. I think it's bull.. wat do u guys think?

Well since FFX is a ps2 game, i dont think its playable

also, i read that there are two versions of FFX one on dvd and one cd based.

also, just cuz its a ps2 game does not mean its one a dvd. a majority of ps2 games out there still use cd's as their media since using cds cuts down on production costs they arent going to put it on a dvd unless its big enough where it has to be on one.
just remembered that ffX isnt even released in japan yet
its scheduled for a june release or maybe its a july release

some one on this board knows
i just checked this out, and i checked out the configuration of the guys system

pentium 5 2 GHz (bull)
1024 MB ram (maybe my mobo can support that much)
and a geforce 3 (last i heard this wasnt out yet)
hahahaa...first of all, think Pentium V hasn't out yet and considering AMD is being so rude to Intel, I think it will be a long time before we can see Pentium 5

and Geforce 3, even NVidia hasn't confirmed that this product is perfectly distributable...:D :D :D
Well the GeForce3 IS out,at least VisionTek released its card based on it.
Don't expect any pentium 2Ghz before the end of the year and for the pentium 5......well I would say 2 or 3 years.
And yes of course FFX isn't even released in Japan.
It will be in July on the 13 or 19 I don't really remember.
As for this guy who tried to fool us,he's not really clever, trying to make us think that a PS2 game runs on a PSOne emu....
Anyway I'm looking forward for the PC version of FFX(guess I'll have to change my CPU:( )
And me to change my old geforce 256 to the 3
;)
a question Raziel , you mentoned FF X for PC , does that mean Sqyare Alredy made a Offiacl Statement or did you ask them about it
Square already said a while back that they wouldn't be a PC port of FFIX but they also mentionned that they would port FFX & XI on Windows.
Bye.
i heard that ff XI would be asimultaneous release on pc and ps2.

btw, anything posted on that compat list id take with a grain of salt..
Yep. That and it also only lists the regions as Us, Pal or Jap. This cause no end of probles as people see that eg FF9 Pal works and wrongly assume that this means that the UK one works. The they come back here and post the infamous "I can't get FF9 UK working in epsxe" post.

hmm... I read some articles on game magazines, it said that next Final Fantasy series (FF IX, FF X, FF XI) will STILL be ported to PC, Even now, they're working on FF IX Windows, but the release date is TBA (To Be Announced), hmm..anyone can give it confirmed ??
G
I wouldn't base any type of true compatibility off of that site since it is user submitted and the games are not fully tested.

hey beckham i heard that ffIX wasnt but that ffX and ffXI were
but there are so many rumors flying around these titles that its hard to know for sure
They MAY release it on PC....but who would buy it? It took me 6 months to get FF8 PC to work on my system, and I STILL can't get FF7 to work...and my system specs are WAY above what they want (T-bird 900, Voodoo3 3k, SBLive!, 128 Megs PC100)...Actually, FF7 worked for about a week, then DX7 came out and I couldn't play it anymore (constantly locked up)
yeah, those ports were handled by other companies. im assuming that square will learn from those mistakes and do their own porting. that seems to be the case at least with the ones they are planning to release simultaneously. i dunno about ff9 tho..
i also have ff7 and ff8 on pc and both of them work perfectly. in fact i've beaten the game a couple of times with no problem at all. and if choosing btw the pc or the psx versions of any final fantasy game i'd surely go for the pc vesion as it has better graphics (duh!!). and that's way way better graphics than the ff's in psx.
FF 9 for PC? might consider buying it (all because of refined graphics:D )
in the mean time... WHO WANTS MY FF IX FOR PSX? (north america)

umm..no.
1) wtf are you smoking? :p
2) what card are you using? the graphics in the ff7 pc version are limited to 8 bit rendering i heard so they suck ASS compared to something like epsxe. you CANT even run the darn thing on a decent card nowadays. and what about the midi? sheesh..
3) refer to #1
ok maybe emulators these days can compare against pc graphics. i was used to the days where bleem 1.5b set the standard for psx emulation (and most of you know what that's like) and now with epsxe doing so well then it may be possible that emulation of ff's can have better graphics than the pc version. but some of the ff's games aren't 100% compatible with epsxe and there's a chance of hang ups on certain parts while on pc, as long as it starts then there's nothing to worry about. you could just sit down and relax without having to fiddle with settings and plugins.
