FFXI for PS2

How many Hours, how Long is it gonna take, if its RPG and it's and Online game, I think People will eat it

Look at Pioneers of Online Games (PC OFFCOURSE!) - Ultima Online - The best there is All time. And people are satisfied playing it no matter how long it takes (i think )

If FFXI takes about 1-3 month, people will try it - specially the PC version

but I dont know, Console Game developers kinda suck for online games. Look at Squaresoft's PlayOnline site - it's worse than a cheap designed porsno site

While I may be considered by some to be an RPG fanatic, I fail to see online games like Ultima Online and such as RPG's - and if that's where FFXI is going, count me out. Never liked that kind of thing, a constant monthly charge is no way to attempt to play a game .

Personally, I've never played an online game like Ultima Online. I'd be willing to pick up FFXI and take a look as I love the FF series.

I think they should just keep the FF series as it is and make a totally seperate FF Online game. I just don't see how or why FF can be an on-line game. How are the battles going to be setup? Is there going to be a story? PC "RPG"s are fine as on-line games (Diablo, Ultima, etc.) because most of them are hack-and-slash games that have little plot to them. But FF is a console RPG, which is heavily based on a linear story/plot. I think this will be taken away of FF goes on-line and I don't want to see it happen. And, like KillerShots said, I don't consider on-line "RPG"s as actual RPGs, just some multi-player action game with wizards and warriors. Games like Diablo I consider action-RPGs.

Hironobu Sakaguchi said that their most most important will,was to implement a good story in the game.

I don't know.
But you can count me in,cause I'll always buy a FF(except for FF10 if they don't release it on PC,cause I don't even want to think about buying a PS2).

The sad truth is, they probably won't port it to PC, or at least I really doubt they will. They do really well in the console market and they don't really need the PC. Sales of FF8 PC weren't all that hot, and the reviews were very negative. I've only seen one good review and that's because the reviewer focused on the game, not the port, whish sorta misses the point(reviewing a PC port of a PSX game), but in another way it hits it dead on(reporting on the actual game).

Yeah, god knows when a PS2 emulator will come around. I reckon it'll be several months, maybe a year before anything is introduced.

But,about FFX,I think there's a chance of seeing it coming to the PC cause developping a game costs more and more(and FFX must be costy!)so,in order to gain money they'll need more potential buyers,that's why I believe that it will be released on PC(and maybe on other consoles as well).

I probably won't get it. I cannot play game on my unlimited access connection. If I want to play the ISP charges me 1p per min (1.4 c)
