Hello Everyone, I have read over the forums looking for help. I have been tinkering with FFX-2 now for about 3 weeks on and off trying to get it to run flawlessly to no avail. If i use ZeroGS i can run it, but it flashes like a strobe light a lot of the time, and if i use Gsdx there are a bunch of black lines going through the video. The audio also seems out of sync with the rest of the game. I am hoping that if i provide my specs you might be able to tell me what configuration i should use.

I have an Intel Pentium 2.2 Ghz Due Core processor (E2200) (not sure what the E2200 is)

3GB Ram

Window Vista (32-bit)

ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT vid card (I think it's a 512 MB, but might be 256)

I am using PCSX2 v. 0.9.6
I have tried Gdsx10 as well as others, can't remember off-hand what the others were. I have had MTGS enabled and disabled and tried all sorts of combinations. ZeroGS works but has the before mentioned issues as long as FFX-hack is checked.

I am using a PAL version of the game, i have questioned if this could be the problem and plan on getting the US version to verify, but have not gotten around to it yet.

I don't mind if the video is slow (35-40fps) would be fine, I'd like 50 or 60 if i can get the US version, but the big issue is the flashing, it tends to give a headache.

I am fairly illiterate on technical matters, so please any help please dumb it down. I am better with the stuff than the average person, but much less than average when it comes to the typical emu user.

Thanks a bunch and let me know if you would like me to upload screens of what problems i am having. I would have but am posting from a different computer than the one i am trying to get the emu working on. Also if you want any screens tell me specifically what you would like me to get a screen of.

Thanks again.

EDIT: I forgot to mention when i use Gsdx i have tried both with nloop hack and without nloop hack.

EDIT2: I think i put this in the wrong area, sorry for that, could someone move it to the correct one please? Also I am using the ISO of the game, not running it from disk.

Ok, so i have solved a few problems on my own. The speed of the game is almost flawless, i get 45-50 consistently and i managed to get the sound synced up by changing the audio plugin. I can also play the game on gsdx10 or zerogs now, but both have the problem where the screen is flashing, mostly the sprites. gsdx is worse than zerogs, but it still works. Anybody have any idea what is causing this? It is the only thing making this game unplayable for me. Thanks.
