I have played FFVII several times without the aide of cheats . . . but now, I just want to explore the beyond and use Aeris and Sephiroth at times that I shouldn't! Does anyone know why when I use the Sephiroth code 1. his name is vincent, 2. He loses all HP and the party is treated as a two person party when in combat. 3. Switching him in and out of party with PHS doesn't do a thing except cause more trouble.

A code is more than likely to cause unwanted side affects. There is no way to fix it without enabling mode codes (that are specific to that one) which will open up more glitches.
