Hi, currently I'm having a problem in FFVII with Tifa's limit break. When the reel shows, instead of cycling around as it should, it instead shows all of the hits, then switches to all of the Yeahs!, and so forth. I am currently using Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.76 for video, since when I use Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.7 the emulator crashes.

Anyone had this problem before, or know how to fix it so that the reel runs smoothly?

Thanks.

what's your graphics card? for the most part i wouldnt recommend D3D...OGL (not OGL2) is better.

anyway turn off dithering, thats for 16 bit modes, and what special game fixes are you using? you can try changing texture filtering around too.

My guess would be that either the framebuffer or offscreen drawing settings aren't quite right. I would try it out myself but I don't have a save that I can test it with. As hushypushy said, switch to OpenGL then try raising framebuffer access or offscreen drawing to 3.

Shouldn't this thread be in ePSXe discussion instead? I would move it but I can't for obvious reasons :p.

Ah excellent. When I switch the Framebuffer access to 4. Full software drawing, and the Offscreen Drawing to 4. Extended - Can cause garbage, it seems to work. Now it's been a while since I played my actual PC version of FFVII (I'm at res, and my house is in a different city), so I don't remember how her reels actually went. Did it show each individual word scrolling around, or just that when it was alternating between hit types? If I move the Offscreen drawing to 3, then I'll get the proper scrolling when it changed hit types, but if there are more than 3 or 4 of a type in a row, it doesn't scroll them. Anyone remember?

And thanks a lot guys, big help.
