FFT and looking good...

Hehehe
Well I just wrote a mile long post about how I can't get FFT to look good, tried all texture filtering settings but couldn't get it to look nice. Sprites looked horrible IMHO :(
And just before I was to press "submit" I tried lowering resolution, and behold. It looks great now :p
I'm using 1.75 OGL and have 3200 A64 and 6800 GT.

But I still have a few questions :)
What do "Compability" settings do? Is it just in case something ain't showing on screen or can they affect looks of things?

Also I try to enable SPU IRQ on eternal SPU 1.41 but it shows up unchecked every single time I restart.

And oh God is there a simpler way of changing the settings than, exit, turn off epsxe, restart and than change?

Use Pete's OGL2 instead.

Yes, somemow only applies to FF series and/or other games.

Assuming you are using ePSXe 1.5.2, be sure to exit by File ---> Exit.

No.
by the way you dont have to restart every time you change the settings. when you turn on ePSXe you can change the settings and play. that warning on ePSXe 1.5.2 is a warning stuck around from like 1.4.0 when that was actually a necessity.

furthermore, if you want to change settings on the fly (without having to keep restarting), get PSXeven. if the closing/opening thing really bothers you that much, PSXeven will be your god (it lets you change em over and over without closing the program :p )
I'm using ePSXe 1.6.0, and whenever press escape to get to the menues and main screen, all of the option menues are grayed out, so I have to exit emulator, start it again and than change everything.

PSXeven... How is compatibility on that one? And I presume it can use same plugins as ePSXe right?

I also tried OGL 2.6 but I need my AA :) And it kinda blured my picture (I'm sure you can turn it off somewhere but I didn't have time to fiddle around with it)
PSXeven is excellent, a worthy alternative to ePSXe.

with OGL2 put the internal resolution to very high X and Y and put the game resolution to something like 1280x960.
