FFIX sound config

I downloaded ePSXe 1.5.2 because I heard the FF games work better on it. I am playing an ISO of IX and the sounds and music is very choppy and 'glitchy', in and out of cut scenes. I figured it was the generic sound config so I downloaded a different plugin and configured it. Also, I had to turn the textures down because the battle swirl would glitch up and take forever just to go into a battle. Anyone help me out?

Also, many sounds in the game such as when in a menu, sound very, very, messed up too.

Here's the video config.

Download the Eternal SPU 1.41 plug-in, and configure it as so. The buffer size can be either the default of 64 or 32. I only use 32 since my old PC worked better with it, and I stuck with it since (though 64 seems to work too).

That helps a TON with the menu sounds but, lets say that I move to another area in the game. When I do the sound glitches during the transition between areas (when the screen goes black). Is there a way to fix that?
