ok guys please help me im on vancation in tunisia for - week and boredom was killing me lukily i burned all the CDs from this game and started playing it with ePSXe it was realy awsome and i completed the first CD then the problems started :cuss2: i got the change CD messege. When i was in the underground spot beneed the tower i had to go to left to lift a handle i went to the handle and it seemed like the pixels where messed up well sole but i just changed the handle and walked back to the start spot with the kupo and then walked to the right side and then there i came in a room and there the pixels seemed COMPLETELY messed up but i saw there where stayers so i walked upon them to the hihger spot but when walked upon the stayers the screen got black and never turned normal again and the game freezed someone please help me boredom is killing me

Are you using ePSXe 1.6.0 or 1.5.2? If you're using 1.6.0, enable the console window then play through that part. Check the window to see if any errors show up.

Edit: If you're using 1.6.0, you should switch to 1.5.2 anyways .

I had a few similar problems with FF9. But they were random, and wouldn't appear again if I reload from the memory card. It does happen every time you try doing whatever you're doing, right? (And you're loading from mem.cards and not savestates, right?).
If no (you didn't try loading from mem.card), do it (reload from mem.card and try again to see if it happens again).
if yes (you did try and it happens again), then don't mind this and do what n_w said.

how do i enable the console window and well im using memorie cards and savestates and im really lost here =_= both ways dont work and on gamefaqs i can ony find those bragging savegames with everything to 99999999999999999999999999 and thatz no fun at all maybe someone of you knoz how to get pqst this pqrt or where to get a save game not to far after this still somewhere at the start of disk 2 maybe someone of you still has one that would be awsome i hope i will get myself out of this cuz...sob sob XD


EDIT i tryed both 1.60 and 1.5.2 but none works 1.5.2 just closes when i even TRY to start playing disk 2 damn man SOMEONE HELP ME

i happen to have one on disc 2 where the group is in treno, if youre interested.

as for your problem, ive never seen that happen before, but using savestates is what most likely causes it. i mainly use them right before big battles so i dont have to read all those conversations again.

ps- if youre on vacation in tunisia- ENJOY IT! dont waste it playing FF IX.. i know its a good game, but it can wait until you get home
