FF9 Soundproblems

Hello, I have some sound problems with my sound. I have used many plugins (internal, pete's Null, e.t.c.). The only that works a little bit is, the internal, but I have still an 'echo' in my movies. With the other plugins I have no sound (and no music) in my movies.

Another problem. I just tried executor 1.04, since installing this, I can't use any key's in ff9, does anybody know how to solve/undo this?

64MB
3dfx voodoo 2
Soundblaster AWE32

have u tried Andy's SPU Audio Driver? ('cause it works fine on my PC)

and BTW don't use epsxecutor, otherwise won't be able to start FF9(only first disc)
exactly this happened to my PC

Executor works fine on my computer.. With all the FF9 disks.. It makes configuration a lot easier..

atze, make sure all the sound options are enabled in the epsxe sound options.. Now make sure in executor that the mdec options are also enabled.. Last thing.. Make sure you didn't enable spu irq in both the epsxe sound options and the pluggin options.. Enable it in only one place.. Your system seems a little underpowered for epsxe..

Use lewpy's glide pluggin since you have a voodoo 2.. As for your keys not working, Press f4, f4...

Atze, you have very low specs(you have an ISA sound card!). You should really consider upgrading. Even if you get the game working, you won't get full speed.

About your problem, does the sound work properly with other games? If not, maybe the problem is your sound card(it's kinda old). Make sure you have the latest drivers for it. fivefeet8 is right, Lewpy's Glide can make wonders with a Voodoo2.

why don´t try using eternal 1.10 spu, I think is the best

Yeah! Eternal 1.10 rocks, it 's the spu plugin I used for all of my games!

I use Eternal too, but I think Andy's SPU is a bit faster than Eternal, and atze has a very slow pc, so he needs whatever is faster.

2. How to most light CPU usage?

"XA buffer size" ...anything
"High resolution mode" ...OFF
"Wait for XA buffer is free" ...OFF

could this help? I don't know.....

but is like a 0.5/60 fps faster so is a waste of time to prefer andy´s instead of eternal, and hey... that name rocks u know... eternally the best

Eternal 1.1 is perfect for FFIX, but for some reason it does slow down my rig quite a bit - I get an extra 10-15 fps if I switch back to Iori's
