Hi, I read all the FF9 threads I could find, but none includes this one.
Some of the save games are 'forgotten'. When I hard reset the save games are lost. Sometimes in soft reset too.

I've tried both 1.6 and 1.5.2

The game works fine, but the save do not. It's pretty frustrating having played for hours and then noticing the savegames are lost

How do I fix this?

Yes I think that's the problem. I just quited after saving in the save menu (alt tab to windows and then 'end task')

Is there a proper way to quit the programme? I used to quit the same way for FF7 en FF8 (PC versions) as well. Because there is no proper shutdown possibility.

You press ESC to quit back to the menu and quit from file > exit, otherwise the memcards are not saved to disc. Memcard emulation has the memcards in memory and are only saved when the emu quites.

Yup. I think that was the problem. Hadn't had any problems since.

PS never played ff9 before. It's awesome
