OGL1.x does look a lot better at higher resolutions IMO, even with Very High X/Y (I play at 1400x1050 because of my LCD). Still, OGL2.x is so much hassle-free to configure that it's hard to argue against it.Kane said:

Raz and me argue about this on occasion tho, as he doesn't liek the fact that in OpenGL2.x, all the framebuffer effects look 'software-ish'. Essentialy they are unfiltered, but In OpenGL1.x if you don't use FSAA, they can look much better.
As for ePSXe 1.5.2 or 1.6.0, I'd say 1.5.2. You can always try switching to 1.6.0 if you have problems with Xenogears. Just name the exe differently
