Okey so when i run my ff9
There comes black screen and nothing else

I have tried next GFX plugins:
P.E Op.S Soft Driver 1.17
Pete's openGL2 driver 2.7
Segu Direct3D Driver 1.3
NEXT 3D 1.5

I'm using my self ATI RADEON 9600

help please what how can i fix it?

and second problem when i'm trying to make ISO file it gives me someind of errors while making and then just comes sooo slow that it takes 30min to get 1%

download the ppf patch for ff9 depending on ur cd region. rename the corresponding ppf patch to the same name that ur cd has been labelled eg, sles02965. Use peops cdr 1.4 to apply patch and ur running.

I don't think it'll fix his problem. PPF are needed only for PAL version while US version runs without it. I think the main problem lies in the disc itself, look at the bottom - is is scratched? Dirty? That may cause your CD drive unable to read the disc which makes impossible either running the game or making ISO. Try to clean it and make ISO again. Use Alcohol 120% or CloneCD for that.

u can try PSXEven...i try it on ePSXe blackout but on PSXEven it is ok...

i presumed he used a CD to run ff9. and if US version runs without patch, then he must be using PAL version. but yes clean anc check cd for scratches as hyuga said.

your CD drive may also be fuxed, is it really old? does it work with other PSX games?

Okey so:
My game is PAL i had downloaded the ppf patch thing.
BUT i dont know wich one i had to download there were UK,GER,FRA and something else...
could some one explein me what to do with those ppf patch things?

i got 2 dvd drivers in my computer and both are about 10 months old.
I have tried final fantasy origins and it works.

well you download the PPF patch that corresponds with where you're from. so if you are in the UK you'd get the UK version, etc.

oh, you mean there isnt a finland PPF patch?

well, you can always make your own, with Peops CDR plugin. at the bottom of the configuration for that plugin, it has a little box, "create SBI/M3S file". alternatively, you can just enable subchannel reading or make an ISO with subchannel data.

What version code does it say on ur CD? look on your Cd for some code that looks like SLES 02965. if it says that, use the ff9 UK PAL patch. rename ur cd1 patch to exact code on ur cd and it shud work, i think..

disc 1 :SLES-02965
disc 2 :SLES-12965
disc 3 :SLES-22965
disc 4 :SLES-32965
umm do i have to rename that file wich is like HLG-ff91.ppf for that SLES-....?

and one more thing:
i tested clonecd and well now i managed to get sub file
but when i try to do SBI/M3S file its says cant create out file?
where i can get out file to put it in that thing?

oh man right after i defeated the last boss ... the screen black out after Cid wants to rescue the parties....i try it on ePSXe with config as in my sig and even on PSXEven (where i can pass thru several black screen in ePSXe) but this time both also cannot pass thru the black screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

mamo4ka, you only need one or the other. if you made a subchannel file, you dont need a PPF patch. just load your ISO in ePSXe, the console window should say "subchannel data blah blah" or something.

navilink, try using a software plugin to pass that spot. and make sure you arent using save states. and definitely dont use ePSXe 1.6.0.

if u will use a patch, rename the correct patch to the correct code yes. otherwise use subchannel file as hushy said.
