I know u all must be sick and tired of reading FF9 questions but i think this is a new error:
It happens that, during battles, the command screens dont appear. Im talking about the cute boxes where u choose what u want to do. Any suggestions?

have you tried enabling off-screen drawing?

That s right Gnome:

Just put the off screen drawing in Standard mode (There s no reason to put the Enhanced mode in this game)

BTW , Extended OD makes a flickering w/ those menus.

On my Voodoo 3500TV setting the filter settings in Pete's D3D to "Extended w/o Sprites" fixed the disappearing command/info box problem.

Running Windows 2000, Voodoo 3500TV (with RC1 drivers), from the CD, Null2's sound driver and (as I said) Pete's D3D

OR if you're using Pete's soft driver... turn off the frameskipping...
