FF9 Layering problem

882 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  mdw
I was playing ff9 today, and while I was going through the first battle in the intro scene with the tantalus boss, I noticed that the battle menu's aren't there, the only thing I can think of would be that they are being drawn below everything else. Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you fix it?

system:
p2-450
384MB
GeForce2MX 32MB
Pete's OpenGL 1.51
SCPH1001 bios

Did you enable "Offscreen Drawing"? AFAIK you have to set it to "Extended" for the FF series games to work correctly.
If you're using Lewpy's Glide GPU plug-in: make sure that Experimental Flipping is set to ON in the options menu.

If you're using Pete's GPU plug-in: make sure that Off-Screen Drawing is set to standard or above.

That outta do the trick ;)

[edit] Stupid me, forgot to look at what GPU you're using in your post :emb: So the offscreen drawing thing should do it.
thanks for the help, it fixed it. On an aside, would this also cause the same problem in Chrono Cross? As I can't find the discs I can't test it, but I remember this problem with that game too.
