As far as I recall like the uk version there isn't one. The only patches are for french, german and spanish. sorry.

you can't. The copy protection code in the italian version is inserted into multiple locations whereas the french only has one location which is completly different again. If you try you'll just get an error message.

I was just at a patch site(with illegal stuff, so I can't name it) and I saw this in the FF9 list:
Final Fantasy 9 Protection Fix, +13 Trainer & PAL/NTSC Selector
UK PAL

HLG

It had a little "new" stamp next to it.

Is this something known about or did they fianally make a FF9 UK patch?

patches aren't illegal. sx/amiga even said its okay to post a patch as an attachment here. Of coarse you can't post the FF9 UK patch cause its too big. (1.2Mb)
Posting a link to a site with patches is okay too, but I don't know of any patch sites without other forms of illegal material so you can't link to those.:dead:
