When Im playing FF9 and they jump on the cargo ship it keeps freezing during th e little movie that comes afterwards

Im using Pete's OpenGl driver 1.75 and ive tried the Petes D3D driver 1.75 as well both with the same problem

ive tried disabling the sound and still nothing

its not a scratch on the cd because i used alcohol 120% to rip it to an iso and im playing off my hard drive

Try using ePSXe 1.5.2 instead of 1.6.0. It has known problems at that point in the game, and in general for that matter.

Or just disable MDECs in video config.

not some odd reason, it's a super super common problem. when they released 1.6.0 to fix a bunch of problems, some old problems were created. one VERY common problem is at the village of dali the MDEC freezes. if you'd bothered to search you would've found MANY MANY MANY threads on this exact topic.
