Hi everyone! I just can't play ff9 on epsxe 1.5.2, so I need some little help. As the forum recommand, I search for the same subject on the site, but, I tried some tips on the game, it still doesn't help (even the kane's domain).

Here are my specs:

Windows 98 SE
epsxe 1.5.2
scph1001.bin (for NTSC of course)
Pete's OpenGL Driver 1.75 (I have a nvidia riva TNT2 graphi card) (see OpenGL file for settings)
Eternal SPU plugin 1.41
epsxe CDR ASPI core 1.5.2 (see cdr file for settings)

I play the game with an ISO image file, on DAEMEON tools driver. I see the message "Published by Sqare..." (see published file for what it looks like)
but after this, nothing. There is a reading CD error on 0, 1, 74 (see error file).

If I try to play the game by opening a the ISO file by itself, the screen remains black for a long time (after 5 minutes a was tired to wait so I just close it)
I don't think it's about settings on Video plugin ; maybe the CDR plugin is not a good one and I should change it for a better one. What do you think about?

Thank you for all

Hmm... dod you have the same problem running from your original CDs?
Perhaps I should create an ISO guide too if that ends up to be the problem.

try using Peops CDR plugin in ASPI mode. do you have another CD or DVD drive that you could use?

Yes, I've tried it with the CD (it doesn't matter if it's a copy, huh?).

There is no more errors about reading, but after the "Published by Square" message, the screen remains black, but the FPS continues to run (it turns about 59.8).

Down there are the setting for the CD. I'v tried with my two drivers (DVD drivers), and once again with my virtual driver. With the ISO Image file, nothing happens.

Thanks again.

It does. Read the [rules]rules[/rules]. No support given on d/l games. This has been recorded on your personal log. Further rule violations may result in a ban.
