Having trouble when I run from battles after going though the EXP and AP screens. All I get is a solid black screen, the music continues like I am still in the battle music and several signs of the game freezing.

what are you playing from the disc or an image?

image of the game. i have not had any trouble so far with any of the images that i have made though powerISO except for a few emulator problems that were already known. and after checking though the old posts here i didn't see anything like what I am experiencing. Tried a few things, including different newer drivers for the graphics, different settings for the graphics running it on the 1.7.0, 1.6.0 and the 1.5.2 same problem with all of them, when i succeed in running from a battle after going though the status screen for after a battle it just stays black while the battle music continues to run.

make new images but this time follow the guide below and see if your problem goes away, i suggest trying .ccd/.img/.sub format.

ok made brand new images after looking for the disks (found in attic after a few hours of looking) and still the same thing black screen of doom with music from battle running after the status screen from running from a battle.

Set the compatibility settings to 1-2-2(OGL2) or 3-3-4(D3D/OGL 1x)
