ff8 memcard problem

i cant load ff8 games off ANY memcard on here..but all my other games work fine. id post my plugins and their settings but dont know how. im running it off of a cd on a amd k6-2 500mhz with 56 mb ram..i was able to play this just last night though i have no idea how to fix this.
