Well, i just got ff8 and started playing it on epsxe, but whenever i come across fmv's except for the one in the beginning, the whole screen turns gray and i can only hear the audio. I've only played the first 5 min of it in epsxe tho, and so far the only fmv that works is the one they show you when i pick new game. Here is my config:
Pentium 4 1.8 Ghz
Geforce 3
Soundblaster Live

Also, in the opengl version, i get these lines that go horizontally and vertically on my screen, opengl also has the same problems with the gray screen though, here is a picture of what i mean, so if anyone knows how to fix this, thanks in advance.

Check there for your mdec problems.. I remember people having problems like that with the Geforce3.. Do a search of the epsxe board for "geforce3".. Maybe you should try different video card drivers..
