Alright, I'm not sure if I should put this here, or if it belongs somewhere else. Sorry if it's placed in the wrong forum section.

I'm messing around in FF7 and I'm trying to use the No Encounter Worldmap and No Encounters Elsewhere codes.

Codes:
Code:
"Misc. Codes\No Encounters World Map
8011627C 0000
"Misc. Codes\No Encounters Elsewhere
8007173C 0000
However, when both of them are on, the game tends to glitch up, and certain scenes that are supposed to occur simply get stuck.

Example:
In Midgar on Disc 1, when the pillar is about to be destroyed above Sector 7, Cloud and co. are supposed to go up the pillar, so the fence(gate) is going to be opened. But when I had the codes on, the NPC walking towards the gate doesn't do a thing, and the gate remains closed.

There were several other spots like this, such as going to the 7th Heaven bar the first time, after having a flash back, Cloud stands there doing absolutely nothing, but he's supposed to be talking to Tifa. The game just gets stuck at this point. It doesn't freeze, but nothing happens, and you can't do anything.

I was wondering if this is due to a faulty code, or maybe bad ripping of the disc? I noticed in the PEC Code List thread, that nobody seems to have mentioned this problem with the codes, so I think it's not that.

Another note:
I've been running the game with the No Encounters Elsewhere code just now, and so far it hasn't glitched yet. So it might just be the fact that you can't run both of them at the same time as well.

I just finished the game with this (US - Original / Greatest Hits):
Code:
"[#] Random battles (on)
D00ABBBE 3C02
8007173C C350
8007173E 0000
D00A827C 1023
8011627C C350
8011627E 0000
"[#] Random battles (off)
D00ABBBE 3C02
8007173C 0000
D00A827C 1023
8011627C 0000
Can't guarantee it's totally glitch-free but worked really well.
