I am using Pete's OpenGl drivers and they work fine..

Just when I switch to OFF drawing 3 then the top margin and the bottom margin in the battles causes to flicker when i've closed the battle menu.

But when i use OFF D 4 then the whole animated fighters start to flicker.. What can i do?

Not much. It's normal to have flickering with the higher settings of Pete's Plugins, he even mentions it in the readme:

6) Offscreen Drawing
----------------------
There are now (1.48 or newer) 5 different OD modes... OD is used
to detect drawings which are outside the front/backbuffer, doing such
stuff in software (or by tweaking polygon coords).
0 (none): fastest mode, glitches in splash screens/game gfx can happen
1 (minimum): takes care of most splash screens
2 (standard): does an easy check, if software drawing is needed
3 (enhanced): does a more complicated check for soft drawing
4 (extended): does the "enhanced" check, and adds some additional buffer
swap (can cause flickering with some games)
But why are you using these settings? Is "Standard" Off-Screen Drawing causing you any problems?

Hi first of all thanks to all who have answered me.. :)

and I am sorry that I didn't read the docs that well because I've just started to download the epsxe and it's plugins since this week and spend hours to configurate that emu.


@ Badaro:

There is no difference (or minimal) between Offscreen Drawing 2 and 3 ...

(both shows flickering details on top and margin)

Maybe I can live with that, since I've read an older thread with the missing swirls before a battle in FF7 :)

The only excuse I'll accept for not reading the docs is if you're blind, don't know english, and don't have a translation available. You should ALWAYS read the docs and faqs! The message board search function is quite handy too. ^,^

What's your video card? Have you tried updating its drivers?

D3D bugs?

i'm playing the PAL version of FF7 and though Pete's D3D 1.53 eliminates the flickering in battles, alot of small red dots n lines pop up all over the prerendered backgrounds.the same thing occurs in FF8 when i try using D3D(except these are white). :confused:
Oh n i noticed that switching to windowed mode n back during battles erases the flickering in OpenGL. the same thing happens in RE3 MDECs.. strange huh? anyone knows how to solve this? :(
