FF7 cutscene sound

How do I get the cutscenes to play sound on FF7 PAL english with ePSXe? I am currently using the Eternal SPU Plugin 1.41 as petes one didnt have the same sound quality (I know because I own the original disc).

are you sure the 3 top options are enabled at config->sound (and the fourth disabled)?

only the first 2 options were enabled, I'll try and see if it works but right now I'm quite far from a cutscene and the prelude had sound for some reason.
