yeh i am using petes soft gpu at the moment with everything but the graphics are a bit distorted, the new fix with this plugin doesnt seem to work for me. but why is it that the swirl does not appear with opengl even with the fix activated and offscreen drawing on 3??

the d3d plugins crash if i enable color dithering and small speed up with mdecs. in game tho, they are more faster than opengl but the grwaphics are lower quality and there appears to be some green lines on the edge of the graphics.

ive updated my graphics card drivers and soundcard drivers but its still not working smoothly. i tried petes d3d and dx6 d3d plugin and they dont bring the choppy sounds as open gl does.
i tried the windows98 troubleshooter to find out why i have choppy sounds and it said make sure direct x is installe dproperly and it is.

ok after a bit of experimenting, i have finally reduced the problem. if i play the game in a window (800*600), the game plays faster when i use d3d plugins.
But the soft gpu is the best for me. no problems with choppy sound or slowdown, its just the graphics are serrated. does anyone know how to improve graphics on a soft driver?
here are my soft gpu settings
Plugin: P.E.Op.S. Soft Driver 1.1.16
Author: Pete Bernert and the P.E.Op.S. team

Resolution/Color:

Dither mode: 1

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

- Scanlines: disabled
- Game fixes: off [00000100]

soft gpu certainly needs to produce better graphics. the visuals on mine are a bit serrated
by thw way lord zedeck, i do get slowdown only when the game switches between screens.

no luck, it looks better but slightly slower. the purple screen fade between screen switching remains. this has only ever ben removed by me using a soft gpu. must be some compatibility issue

no im not talking bout battle transitions. im talking bout when u enter a new screen when u are moving about. soft gpu fades the screen out but opengl and d3d turn the screen a transparent purple/pink colour then switch to the next screen, if u know what i mean.

yes ive accepted the battles cannot be emulated close to perfect anymore.

by the way, how do i post pictures. it says enter the text to be formatted???
