Female genital cutting - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaOther serious long term health effects are also common. These include urinary and reproductive tract infections, caused by obstructed flow of urine and menstrual blood, various forms of scarring and infertility. Epidermal inclusion cysts may form and expand, particularly in procedures affecting the clitoris. These cysts can grow over time and can become infected, requiring medical attention such as drainage.[42] The first episode of sexual intercourse will often be extremely painful for infibulated women, who will need the labia majora to be opened, to allow their partner access to the vagina. This second cut, sometimes performed by the partner with a knife, can cause other complications to arise.
Don't forget to do circumcision for your sonsPenile cancer
The American Cancer Society (2006) stated, "The current consensus of most experts is that circumcision should not be recommended as a prevention strategy for penile cancer."[182]
The American Academy of Pediatrics (1999) stated that studies suggest that neonatal circumcision confers some protection from penile cancer, but circumcision at a later age does not seem to confer the same level of protection. Further, because penile cancer is a rare disease, the risk of penile cancer developing in an uncircumcised man, although increased compared with a circumcised man, remains low.[60]
The age-adjusted annual incidence of penile cancer is 0.82 per 100,000 in Denmark, 2.9-6.8 per 100,000 in Brazil, 0.9 to 1 per 100,000 in the USA, and 2.0-10.5 per 100,000 in India.[60] Researchers have reported that the risk of penile cancer is greater in never-circumcised men than in men who had been circumcised at birth; estimates of the relative risk include 3[183] and 22.[184]

Taking it off causes a large decrease in sensitivity and possible urethra problems. I don't think it should be legal for any parent to elect to perform this procedure on their child. Once you're an adult, if you still want to voluntarily cut a piece of yourself off then go right ahead. But how many adults do you see doing this? What does that tell you?circumcision for blokes is A-OK in my books, its just skin after all,
yeh thats a very sad story. When circumcisions go extremely wrong
I agree with you man, to me it should be a decision of an adult who can reason what's best. Circumcision out of religious reasons should be banned in any case. If there's medical reasons it's a whole other deal, then it falls under the parents' responsibility to take good care of their children.Taking it off causes a large decrease in sensitivity and possible urethra problems. Uhhhhh..............I consider any parent who circumcises to be a barbarian, and I will treat them as such.
It's your choose in the end. If you like to do it, do it.WTF. No it's not. Mutilate your own junk if you want to, leave mine alone.

CIRCUMCISION: An Evidence-Based AppraisalMorris BJ.
School of Medical Sciences and Bosch Institute, Building F13, The University of Sydney, Sydney, New South Wales 2006, Australia.
Circumcision of males represents a surgical "vaccine" against a wide variety of infections, adverse medical conditions and potentially fatal diseases over their lifetime, and also protects their sexual partners. In experienced hands, this common, inexpensive procedure is very safe, can be pain-free and can be performed at any age. The benefits vastly outweigh risks. The enormous public health benefits include protection from urinary tract infections, sexually transmitted HIV, HPV, syphilis and chancroid, penile and prostate cancer, phimosis, thrush, and inflammatory dermatoses. In women circumcision of the male partner provides substantial protection from cervical cancer and chlamydia. Circumcision has socio-sexual benefits and reduces sexual problems with age. It has no adverse effect on penile sensitivity, function, or sensation during sexual arousal. Most women prefer the circumcised penis for appearance, hygiene and sex. Given the convincing epidemiological evidence and biological support, routine circumcision should be highly recommended by all health professionals
I heard that they did female circumcision to also make sure that they will be virgins until they are married and then to also give the males more pleasure when they have sex with the circumcised females. I think they sew them up after they circumcise them but I forgot. It's a horrible practice because it hurts the female for the rest of her life.
Nope. You have the right to say this, you're our beauty queen*hides under blanket and goes to make cookies*
I know I don't have the right to say that kind of stuff, but I just don't like the fact that some people have to tear off the other person's head off because they have the opposite opinion. >.<
People do that before the BC and they still do it wrongly in your country?....funny.The majority of circumsion is done WRONG, they remove to much of the forskin and permanently damage the penis.
Its a sunnat(act of prophet).....it aint in KORAN i guess(as far as i know )......kok0/gamefreak can throw more light on it.........
The traditional cultural practices of FGC predate Christianity and Islam. A Greek papyrus from 163 B.C. mentions girls in Egypt undergoing circumcision and it is widely accepted to have originated in Egypt and the Nile valley at the time of the Pharaohs. Evidence from mummies have shown both Type I and Type III FGC present.[41] (Note that the earliest evidence of male circumcision is also from Ancient Egypt.)
Most Muslims reject this practice in its entirety, however it remains a tradition within certain countries which was not entirely overcome by the arrival of Christianity and Islam. A lack of religious education among these people leads them to mistakenly believe this ancient tribal practice is a religious observance.
UNICEF reports that:
"... Al-Azhar Supreme Council of Islamic Research, the highest religious authority in Egypt, issued a statement saying FGM/C has no basis in core Islamic law or any of its partial provisions and that it is harmful and should not be practiced." In fact, this pre-Islamic barbarity runs contrary to the Islamic tenet which dictates that a man should make sure his wife enjoys their lovemaking.
Coptic Pope Shenouda, the leader of Egypt's minority Christian community, said that neither the Quran nor the Bible demand or mention female circumcision.
Certain Islamic historians believe, and preach that the Qu'ran does infact, NOT dictate the requirement for circumcision, this is rather preached by individual sects of the faith and is very much frowned upon by Islamic doctors. Its a sunnat(act of prophet).....it aint in KORAN i guess(as far as i know )......kok0/gamefreak can throw more light on it.........
