One of the reasons I loved Bleem! on my old Win 98 system was the fast load times, without making the games unplayable. Is there a way to cut down on load times (reading the memory card, loading sequences, etc), without having the game run far too fast for it to be even reasonably playable? The only thing I have found to affect this is taking off the framerate cap, but then everything runs a mile a minute. I'm running a pretty fast system (P4 3ghz 3kram with 6800GTOC card), so if there is anything that I can do to speed up load times, without obliterating any chance of playability, even if its hardware intensive, I'd love to give it a shot. I hadn't seen anything relating to this when I searched the forums, so perhaps it's simply not possible. :\

I searched the forums for shortcuts, read the readme file for the driver I am using, and am now going to try messing with settings for a bit. Hopefully I can figure this out :) Im using the opengl driver 1.75, atm.

Hmm, I haven't found anything that does quite what I was hoping for. Basically, Bleem! used to be able to load cards quickly, load different areas quickly, etc, but the gameplay speed when running around and whatnot was true to PSX speed. From what I can tell, with epsxe, should I simply remove the FPS limit in loading intensive areas (such as moving from one screen to another, or loading a file in, say, Xenogears, for example), then switch the FPS limit back on after I'm out of a load intensive area? Or is there some switch that I'm too basic (tired?) to see that handles such things? Perhaps I was just spoiled with a registered version of Bleem! :\

leave FPS limit on, while in game, when theres a loading screen pres 'delete' key, than on top of screen there should show black thin belt... than press (and now I'm not sure if I'm correct) 'insert' button, in top right corner a black box with drscription should apear, now by pressing home/end try to locate fps limit and by page up/page down buttons sellect off function, when loading/dialogue end press page up or page down to turn that limit on :) currently I can't post any shoots, becaus I'm at work, but in that thin black belt functions are looking like squares, cricles etc, (I know, I should write it at the begining).

Basicaly ePSXe doesn't have the skipping features. It's all manual.

Your problem is that (for better compatibility) emultates the real speed of the ps1, so you can only make it faster by removing the speed limit.
