i wanna know if there are atleast any plans to make a 8x dvdrw? becuase 4x is ok but 8x is better i mean look at cdrws 32x so why cant dvdrw go about half of full dvdr write. also is there any plans for dvdr9 to go faster possible 8x i mean to burn a whole dvd at 4x dual layer would take 30 mins!!! one last thing any plans for a dvdrw9 dual layer format?

1xCD = 150Kb/s
48xCD = 4800Kb/s = 4.7Mb/s
1xDVD = 1.32Mb/s
4xDVD = 5.28Mb/s
4x DVD is already faster than your 32x writer. Regardless, there are 8x burners out there already, equivalent to a theoretical 72x CD burner. You have to realise there is a hell of a lot more data to transfer onto a DVD. IIRC DVD+RW burners have 8x dual layer RW, but they are extortionately expensive for the media.
