when i start the emulator and load the game its going way to fast anyone know why that is?

You need to set a frame limiting value in your plugin,set it to 60fps for NTSC games and to 50fps for PAL games(you can also select autodetect,to let the plugin select the best speed).

To set FPS, open ePSXe, click on config, click on video, then click config under the plugin you are using. This should open up a screen w/all sorts of options and among them, will be, the FPS options you are looking for. Set these, close the config screen, exit ePSXe, restart ePSXe and your game and you should be all set.
