F4

I know when you play Tony Hawk 2 you have to press F4 before saving, then press it again after you save or the game will lock up. It's kind of annoying. Maybe a future release will have "auto f4" or something?

Some games do still require F4 to be pressed. Gauntlet Legends is one of them. But many more have been fixed. F4 is the enable/disable SIO IRQ switch and I'm not sure what it does, but it must be important. Perhaps, as ePSXe progresses, F4 will no longer be needed. The SIO IRQ will be enabled/disabled automatically depending on the game's requirements. But when or if this will occur is unknown. For now, we'll just have to put up w/ pressing F4 in some games .
