Error regarding sound

On any game i play with epsxe1.6, if i turn off the sound during play. then use a save state, turn off game, turn sound back on, then play, it wont work! the game is completely muted. anyway to fix this?

nope. that's how save states are. use a memory card save.

avoid using save states, unless you save into mem-card very frequently, they can get you in some major problems.
