This has been happening a little too often lately and I don't know what's wrong. A few games have been coming up with this error once I start the install, and as you can imagine, it's annoying.

My specs:

P4 3.06g
Windows XP Pro SP2
512mb ram
Geforce FXGo5200

I know it's not my pc specs because these games have worked before. The only thing different from a few months ago, which I can think of, when it worked is that I've got SP2 installed. Anyone else seen this problem?

I thought about doing a format, but I can't really be bothered at the moment to backup all my stuff.

Hmm, I actually looked on Microsoft but I didn't find anything. I must of searched for a different string of words.

Thanks for the link I-Chan. I did what the article said to do but I still get the same error.


Edit: I fixed it. I didn't have an autoexec.nt file in my system32 folder, which is weird, so I copied it off my other pc and now it works.
