ePSXe: Save States, ePSXeCutor

Ok. When I am running a game and press esc. to go back to the ePSXe menu screen to save state it, it doesn't save. In the MS-DOS prompt that comes up with ePSXe, it says State Saved (0). So it isn't saving.

Is there a special location all the save state files go, like in a folder? I'm running Parasite Eve.

Pentium 3
450MHz
96MB RAM
19G hard drive

ePSXe 1.4
Pete's DX6 D3D Driver 1.51
Running an ISO. (pecd1)

What's ePSXeCutor, and do I need it for Parasite Eve?

Thanks.

You got to download epsxe executor.. It makes configuring different configs for games easy... It save the configs of your games so you don't have to config over and over for different games.... Plus it has some cool features like memcard management, savestate managment, and others.... And no you don't really need it but I recommend using it.... I do and it works great.... Fixes a crashing issue I have with epsxe too!!
Instead of pressing escape and going to save a state just use the in game save state hotkeys. F1 saves a state to the active slot, F2 switches to the next slot(there are 5 slots), and F3 loads from the active slot.
And yes the states are saved to the HD. Look in ...epsxe\sstates For each save that you make there will be a savestate file and a pic that goes with it to show you where the save was made.
I also have a question...can executor run iso?
yes executor can use iso's. Just type:

-loadbin "full path and name of iso"

in the command line options of executor..

ie... -loadbin c:\epsxe\mgs.bin

No spaces between the folder names and iso name..

ie.. c:\program files\mgs.bin....won't work... unless you use dos compatible commands.....
O I C, thanks!!!
Ok. ePSXeCutor works great. I am running an ISO (Parasite Eve) and there are two cds for it, so how do I change from pecd1 (Parasite Eve cd1) to pecd2? (Both ISOs (.bin))

I'm running an ISO. What command line in ePSXeCutor?
How do I change CDs ( with an ISO) with ePSXeCutor? Does ePSXe have to be open?
