I am playing Final fantasy IX off the disc.

Approximately every 5-10 minutes I keep getting bumped out of full screen view.
so i switched to window and it still happens.

by bumped out I mean that the window is deselected it goes back to the desktop.

is this common? is there a fix?

what kind of background apps. do you have running while using epsxe?

nothing except google desktop and AVG

Try to deactivate AVG before playing and see what happens.

Turns out it was google desktop when I disabled it everything worked perfectly.
