Hey,
Not to alarm anyone but since i'm new to the scene and it's been a while since the ePSXe team updated with any news regarding the emulator, i wanted to know if they stopped working on ePSXe.

Thanks,
Amir

Not at all. In fact, some news will be popping up fairly soon about ePSXe.

ePSXe does work with WinME. I've got Win98SE on my machine once again though. Soon to be XP, just have to wait and see if my other most used progs work fine for it or not.

Anyway, I used to have WinME on my system and ran ePSXe just fine. The only reason its off my system now is some very odd packet handling in Everquest, that I hadn't noticed with Win98SE. So I went through the process of baking up & formatting my hard drive, only to find out that I had the same problem in Win98SE and it was infact my NIC that was causing the problem.

Well, that was background story that wasn't needed, but just to reiterate, ePSXe worked fine for me in WinME with an 800 T-Bird, 512MB Ram, Radeon 64 & SB Live! And it works just the same now as it did then. I'm hoping it will in XP too and from what I've been reading it seems it will...

I'm running ePSXe under Windows XP Professional and it works great! It runs better than it did when I had Windows 2000 Server installed.

However, it reports that it is unable to open the multimedia control interface (mci) whenever I use a CD plugin other than the core. There are never any visable effects, though.

I didn't start using ePSXe until recently - v1.4. I expect that any future versions will be even more incredible.

AdriPSX has made stunning progress as well...

ePSXe works fine with XP, and also works fine with other cd plugins such as Pete's CD Plugin. Look for some nice docs and tutorials over at http://www.psxfanatics.com ... I am going to be setting up some nice content here real soon.

As for the topic, ePSXe is far from dead. Stay tuned for more info, as soon as we are able to release tidbits about it. Meanwhile if you need some things to do you can always submit some compatibility reports to http://www.psxfanatics.com, not only do we have an ePSXe compatibility list we also have ones for FPSE, AdriPSX, PCSX (win32, and Linux), and for the upcoming release of PSinex.

Asfaloth, of course they will announce it as soon as some news is available. As for me, I'll be satisfied w/what ever the ePSXe team gives us. I've yet to be disappointed. Long live ePSXe!
sincerely,

I have the same thing under Win98SE. Failed to load mci thing or whatever. But my games run fine so I don't worry myself :p.
