ePSXe 1.6.0 + Cyberpad 1.4 (no not a desync issue)

I can't seem to get ePSXe to close gracefully after I've completed playing a game via Kaillera with Cyberpad. I'll always get an error message, Dr. Watson couldn't attach to process or something like that. Basically when I'm done, I press ESC to bring me back to the GUI, and then exit out via the menu. I've also attempted to use the -nogui switch, but the error still occurs. What exactly is the proper way to close ePSXe after a Cyberpad session... and has anyone else encountered the same issue?
