I jus hav a problem n i jus cant find out wat wrong
once there is a scene (mainly when mdec started) then da CD-drive start to load numerous time (then screen ticks; pause the play a frame then pause) Is it my cpu, my cd-drive (Acer 40X IDE drive) or the old driver which i neva update??????
sum1 plz tell me da problems. DANX in advance :dead:

I'd say the cd drive. If I recall correctly they are really bad when it comes to reading psx disks. Try burning an iso to see if that helps.

but i hav use up my 12 gig hd i cant put iso in my hd since it is really big......... any other suggestion tat wont take up too much hd space???? :dead:

maybe using caching should help (so pete's CDR or/and try to set really high the fpse cache ^^)

I think some people have gotten their Acer or A-open drives reading PSX CDs by using ForceASPI. Get it atPSXemu.com and follow the homepage link for install instructions. I gave you the link to the ePSXe download site because that's the one I remember, but it doesn't matter what emu your using.

tis problem is for all da emu, includin VGS, epsxe, bleem!, n other
btw, i keep gettin a illegal operation when i try to config plugin for fpse..... i remember there's a file cause it but forgotten which, jus want to try it out.
neway, caching dun do nething for me, even i try to set it as high as possible, n i also try out sum cachin program but didnt work.... but pete' CDR plugin does help a little bit

Don't worry,it's a common problem with FPSE, just drag that annoying window and keep configure ur emu.

but i want to kno wat "things" will help speed up my CD-drive or keep it from continously loadin during a scene (mostly mdec scenes). plz, it make a lot of da game unplayable......... Danx in advance

get cd throttle and try to slow the speed down, get it psxemu.com

if the FPSE config crashes is because you don't have a complete aspi layer so the configurato catch an error and shot that window... try again to use force aspi and maybe try www.adaptec.com to get a test app to be sure that all goes well

how u use force aspi...... i thought once u install Force ASPI 1.7 u dun need to "activate" it......
im a ignorant about computer cuz i neva get to learn much about comp.....
