killzone 2 was fake... gezz how many times i need to say that... it was a damm video. sony showed cg's, microsoft showed real gameplay... now that's a big difference. the sony fanboys are loving it tough... microsoft already said that all games that were showed, are using the alpha dev kits, 2 cpu's at 2.4 and a ati x800... the final hardware is gonna be a lot better. now, how is that? i hope ps3 is as good, because we all win. i only want better games. if it is on the ps3 then be it. i don't care. i only want better games. if it turns out to be the xbox 360. then u guys just have to admit it as well. well see.

According to this interview, the Xbox 360 version will be same as the PC and PS2.

Development has been progressing smoothly. There will be no fundamental changes to the game over the PC and PS2 versions -- they want to present the same world and game concept to Xbox 360 gamers.

Microsoft has to be careful want they wish for. Microsoft finally got Square-Enix developing games for them, but it's probably B-rated side-project games.

I saw about 30 minutes of straight PS3 clips on tech tv last night and they will be bringing ALOT to the table, despite wether its still cooking, it looks delicious. (best metaphor i could come up with )

Umm, according to a clip of the Sony press conference, the Sony rep said "And just to be clear, this is all running live, in real time, on renderware on the ps3."

another for ps3. The only good games on the original xbox were just halo series and jade empire. And i heard about the new halo 3 coming out. I doubt that will be good, seeing as how they cant really improve on the gameplay anymore then they already have.

Xbox 360 then Revolution. I thought Nintendo's lastest idea is spectacular... if they truely take backward compatablity to the next level. Pure power is unimpressive.

PS3 won this round, no contest. But, the battle is far from over. MS was cautious about showing off the graphical capabilities of the 360, because the hardware is not yet finalized. When completed, it may pack a much bigger punch than what we've seen so far. And Sony is certainly not wowing anyone over with their later release date and expensive price estimates.

As for Nintendo, it seems they've given up on trying to compete with M$ and $ony directly, and are instead aiming at the budget and kids' market. This is a smart move IMHO, and I think they'll be successful as long as they continue to set realistic goals. Plus the revolution's secrets have not been fully revealed as of yet, and there may still be some nice suprises in store.

Personally, I think the upcomming console wars will be the most intersting we've had for a while .

I think that's a horrid path for them to take. Aiming towards the kids market is one of the reasons why they are in this predicament. Playing second fiddel to the likes of Sony and MS.

Seriously, I hope Nintendo aims it's system to the older gamer's market, because those are the people with money to buy it.

That's why kids use birthdays and christmas for that kind of thing. At any rate, Nintendo is a company, and as such their main consideration is the bottom line. If they don't believe they can be profitable competing with financial giants like Microsoft and Sony then it makes perfect sense to try and capture the market that they aren't targetting. Besides I don't think that Nintendo realistically has the money to fund the development of a console to rival the 360 or PS3 right now. Doing this was probobly the only choice they had aside from pulling a Sega and getting out of the hardware business.

im still stunned by the power of the ps3...if u watched the hi-def version of the UT2007 demo, they said that that thing was running in realtime..on a DEV KIT. not only that, it was achieved with 2 months of work???

And I don't kno why the revolution is even listed. Who the heck would believe that they won E3 when they showed zero games, specs... or even the final system design! (who is CD btw... sorry to rat on your vote... ).

Anyways, is this gonna turn into another console war thread? I love those. That's why I came back to this forum. There's something pleasing about the drama centered around company loyalty. I find it highly amusing.

What I don't understand is where people are getting this misguided conception that the FFVII tech demo means there will be a FFVII remake on the PS3. That's not going to happen. They're just using the familiarity and adoration of the title to win over consumers.

What I was trying to say is that I will made my choose depending of the games on every platform. For example, for those people who love Dead Or Alive the choice will be XBox360.
And I'am agree with you about the techdemo, that is only a demo of the capabilities of PS3, btw, I don't want another FF7 I want a new FF, and a new Xenosaga, and I'm sure that the the platform for this games will be PS3.

In my opinion the game catalog will be the clue, not the specs, because the two platforms could be different, but both are awesome.

My vote will go to Sony as well, for now. They won this round. But I'm more interested in Revolution.
