I'm of the sam opinion. The PS3 trailers made me wanna buy a PS3 now. I can't remember anything XBox other than DoA4.

They said that FFXI will be ported with extra featues to the Xbox360. The main line of the FF franchise remains on the PS3. CC will remain on Nintendo's platforms.

No one said that there was going to be an FF remake. People said that it would be great if they did as it looks so damned cool.

Take for example the DoA4 video. Yes it was nice to see DoA2U in higher res with FSAA and occasional bump mapping, but it wasn't jaw dropping, and about half taht vide was FMV.
Sony said that basicaly all the stuff they showed was done realtime in renderware on the PS3

And yet, it's to be a release title. The PS3 is further away, and hte trailers shown ar far more impressive. And yes, I am aware of the photorealism issue, but there many other improvements they could have done to make it look spoogetastic.

Can I ask you: A company continualy rehashes and rereleases old products rather than releasing new ones. Is this company a forward thinking company on the rise, or a dying company clutching at straws?
It's my opinion that while the occasional remake is nice and backwards compatibility is a good feature, basing virtualy your entire product range on old products is not.

X-360 is going to rule, infact they should have just called it that At least microsoft introduces out "NEW" games too, instead of sony giving out the usual every time they release a console.. Ridge racer, final fantasy, crash bandicoot, tekken.. lol whats the bettings.. my money is on microsoft, dont care about polls, their where the power is at.. especially for PC gaming.

So Motorstorm, Heavenly Sword, Ni-Oh, and Fifth Phantom Saga are all sequels are they. Looks like someone hasn't actualy been watching the show. Asides the Xbox 360 had plenty of sequels on it. FFXI, PGR3, Perfect Dark Zero, and Halo 3 to name a few.

Blu-ray, i mean what good is that.. sony will have to downgrade the textures of every game or it will take eons for a game to load 1 level :agree:

Uhhhh actualy given the nature of Blu-Ray, it should load faster than the Xbox 360's HD-DVD, although the difference is likely to be negligable.

You only proved one thing with your post: you are a reactionary in love with your XBox for no real reason.... wait a sec there's more?

Whoever believes Sony's ps3 is going to output double the teraflops of the Xbox 360 is going to be deeply dissapointed.. if nintendo made the claim of N-R putting out double the amount again of the PS3 then it is obvious BS.

Sony only said that the PS3 was going to be 35-ish times more powerful than the PS2. They never compared it to competing HW. Given the shots we've seen, this figure is not just hype.
The big N said their machine was to be 2-3 times as powerful as the Cube, not anything else.

Never believe what they tell you, the new consoles will be similar in performance.. Just read it all up yourself instead of asking people.. research this crap and you will see for yourself.

Looking at the presentations shown, I'd disagree. I'd like you to show me some 360 demos which look better than the FFVII tech demo, Gundam or Motorstorm to back up any refuting to my claims.

Riiight, because the PS2 was all about racing games.... racing games like.... FFX? Star Ocean 3? Xenosaga? Disgaea?
If anything, it was the Xbox which had the greater volume of racing games.

Revolutionary? You can do all that on the Xbox already.

Where'dya get the $360 from? Regardless Sony most likely will change the price to compete if there is that huge a difference.

There is a way the PS3 wouldn't have much of a price gap even if the hardware statement proves to be true: Microsoft isn't the only one with megapockets.
