DVD Skipping in Media Player Classic

Whenever I play DVDs in Media Player Classic, they always skip. I'm thinking it might be the crappy sound card I'm running at the moment (Sound Blaster PCI) but I have a fast computer, so that should make up for it.

Windows XP Pro
Athlon XP2600+
512MB RAM
GeForce 5600 256MB

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you so much Snake 785! When you mentioned VMR7, I noticed in the options that I had to set it to VMR7 Renderless to get the new pixel shader option to work and now my DVDs run flawless. Thanks so much.

Edit: They even look better now too.
