DVD Skipping in Media Player Classic

Whenever I play DVDs in Media Player Classic, they always skip. I'm thinking it might be the crappy sound card I'm running at the moment (Sound Blaster PCI) but I have a fast computer, so that should make up for it.

Windows XP Pro
Athlon XP2600+
512MB RAM
GeForce 5600 256MB

Any help would be appreciated.

maybe your dvd drive needs to be cleaned, or try using another media to see if you get the same problem. Try videolan or window media player 10.
