You tried checking the contents of the disc using "My computer" ? If you can access the contents through that then there must be some problem with your setting and not your dvdrom/burner.
Post the exact settings that you are using and also information about system specs. Check the readme and help file if you are using epsxe for the first time.

I tried looking through my computer and it doesn't show anything in either drive. Maybe I need to get this program to make it work?

I can have settings for you when i get home or rather a web page with screenshots of settings.

well if it doesnt show up in windows explorer your SOL, have you tried it in a different drive? tried flashing new firmware? this may sound stupid but have you restarted your computer? are all PSX discs not recognized? it's an original PSX game right?

1. I've tried in in a different drive with no results. When I check my compter instead of saying dvd burner it now says cd-rom. It now does auto start.

2. I have flashed the frimware on my dvd burner but not on the other driver because I can't find the software for the dvd rom.

3. I have restarted my computer a couple of times without results.

4. All playstation disk are not being recognized. I've tried Final Fantasy 8 and Starwars Assult.

well if your computer isnt reading it, then ePSXe config is useless....

are your drives old?

have you installed forceASPI? although i dont know if that would make a difference.

I just got Final Fantasy VII working but I still can't get 8 working although I know it used to. It reads the drive that final fantasy 8 is in as a cd-rom. Is there a Fix for this it also gives me a funny error.

FF8 is copy protected, get a PPF patch or enable subchannel reading in your CDR plugin
