Um..... interesting? Kinda' reminds me of the Tenebrae Quake mod.

I just use Jonof's:

JonoF's Games and Stuff : JFDuke3D

Not as pretty, but it looks better than "vanilla" Duke3D and gets it running properly under Windows.

jesus dude, update will you. JFDuke is ancient and isn't updated at all. nab yourself the latest svn compile of Eduke32.

Rotflmao, as for this topic. april fools jokes noobs :p

Eduke32 is already capable of those effects using the Hires texture loader.

PS, Plagman is a OGL coder, not Dx10, the eduke team is against using it........ (as much as against bloated code)

lol
I haven't screwed around with Duke3D in some years. I never bothered to look around for any other mods like it. Thanks for the heads up though. I'm gonna test it out and probably not be able to stop playing until I finish the game or die. It's about time for another play through...:p

The part about the renderer being DX10 is the April Fool joke. The new renderer is real, but actually based on OpenGL. New models with normal mapping are already being made to work with the new renderer, replacing the current models.

the renderer already is OpenGL, capable of GLSL.

The Polymost renderer certainly is. However, it is not capable of dynamic lighting, normal mapping and parallax mapping. And this is where the Polymer renderer comes in. If you want to experiment with it, ask TerminX or Parkar about it.
