probably not. besides from what i was hearing they were going to **** the story up worse than funimation did.

The anime was officially finished at the end of the Buu saga. Akira Toriyama got tired of it after 10 years of drawing the manga and retired. The producers of the tv show continued with Gt but we all agree this is pure crap. To me dragon ball is nothing without Akira T. and he is unlikely to draw it again.

There is no way they could make a live action Dragon Ball movie without totally screwing it up. There will also very likely be no more Dragon Ball anime in the future unless someone decides to do another lousy cash-in series like GT. If you are looking for a good fighting anime, check out Yu Yu Hakusho instead.

I saw this one movie on the international channel that was exactly like the original Dragonball. I think it was called "Monkeyboy and the seven balls" It had all of the original characters, with different names, and was basically the whole dragonball(not z or gt) series in one movie. It was stupid but hilariously funny.

why should db be continued? <__<

lol my thoughts exactly.
Dragonball was good up to Piccolo when Goku was still a kid. DBZ wasnt that bad...but anything after Frieza was crap.

they shouldnt even try and make a live movie, i dont think you can squeeze out anymore money out of Dragonball...it has done its time

freeza was the most powerful living being in the universe... ok goku defeated him and trunks killed him... Then Gr. Gero created new Ultra powerful androids.... Ok seems unlikely but alright... Then after that an ancient magical pink ball of guu called Buu shows up and is even more powerful and requires the power to blow up the whole universe to defeat one thing... It was just starting to get rediculus.

no...no...no...NO!!!! I stopped watching Dragonball when I saw how bad Sailor Moon and the 7 Balls was (curse my curiosity)

I remember watching DBZ so long ago. It was good fighting anime but it did stretch out way too long. They couldve gotten the story out in the 1/3 of the episodes and be no different. But the dbz craze in the United States is over and probably reason the live action movie is never gonna be.

When I read the manga, I felt it should have ended after Freeza's 'death'. After that it just got even more repetitive and annoying. It's not like the storylne was particularly inspired to begin with.
The dragonballs themselves took most of the tension out of the story 'oh, we'll just revive them with the dragonballs', and each 'arc' of the story was essentialy formulaic: Goku goes to beat someone, loses, trains, and comes back to beat them after becoming 10k times stronger. Clean up people's deaths with the dragonballs. Rince. Repeat.

thats a really really old rumor thats been going on for years and years
you just CANT continue the series, even if toriyama came back. it would just be silly to throw all new super powerfull monsters or make goku transform to Super Sayien 10....

I think it was actually called Monkey Magic. Both Dragonball and Monkey Magic were loosely based on the Chinese legend, "Journey to the West.
