Ok, if I don't map the dpad buttons while analog mode is on, but i map the analog sticks, the sticks will work.

but if I assign the dpad "buttons" (POV_UP, etc.), the analog sticks no longer register. Is there a way around this? I tried using xorcist's gamepad config utility, but to no avail.

edit: I use a radio-shack psx-to-usb adapter.

configure everything normally---turn the Analog button On on your PSX controller and just assign the buttons. then set it to "analog" mode...if that doesnt work press F5 in gameto switch it.

hmm, i think i know what you're getting at, because i used to have a functional USB adapter. post a snap of your controller config (with analog and Dpad assigned)

hmm, that looks correct...

you have the analog on the PSX controller always on, right? that's how it should be. that's the only thing i can think of right now...my PSX controller actually had buttons for the D pad, i.e. left was like J1_B16 or something.

does it work when you try using a different emulator (i.e. PSXeven) and a pad plugin?
