btw I have a Geforce 5200 and I only get about 40 fps and during battle i get less than 20. I blame it on my celeron, stupid peice of &#%@!!!

It looks HL1 running in fullbright mode, with ugly textures and models.... I don't think it worth hacing both D3 and Voodoo cards

You talk like the GeForce FX 5200 is a good thing.. it's an absolute piece of crap, especially if you have 64-bit RAM, which most do.

I had a Celeron 2.6 and got in the 70s-80s normally, and in the 40-50s during battle with a GeForce4 Ti 4200 @ 4400 speeds. High, 1024x768.

Celerons and 5200's are equally crappy. But they work. The only thing that might a celeron less crappy is the fact that it can do more things than a video card.

Call it a weird form of sports, trying to see how far you can push your own dated hardware. I used to do that as well with my old computer, I was able to play Warcraft 3.... with crappy framerate

Yeah I know, but 5200 isn't really bad depending on what kind. Mine is a PCI because I don't have AGP and I can't get anything better simply because where I live it's the best thing on the shelf and I don't have the cash to go online. So if you combine the fact that 5200 is crap, celeron, and slow PCI, you can see the reason why my pc sucks for gaming. I'm not expecting sympathy, but this is what i am forced to deal with now. :cuss2:

This is why players won't be afraid to try out the game, I mean you can tell there is no shadowing. Sure graphic wise, but least they get to experience how doom3 really is lol (they wouldn't say "suck" i believe :S )
