My graphics card is an Nvidia Geforce4 MX Graphics Card. Should it have support for SSE2 because I've been wanting to use it to make my games run faster. Also what are the requirments to use Pixel Shader because everytime I try to use SSE2 or Pixel Shader the emu crashes on my computer. I have an AMD Athlon XP 2.1 GHZ with 512 DDR Ram a 150 GB Harddrive.

That`s funny.:) Graphic cards don`t have SSE2, it`s actually the processor that has to have it. And no, you proccesor doesn`t have it (it only has SSE1). Only AMD64 and Pentium 4 have SSE2. And, as Pietro said, your graphics card doesn`t have Pixel Shaders as well.

Yeah, it funny. A graphics card doesn't have SSE2 :D

But I think your processor supports SSE2, cost you can use it, but the game you are trying to play crashes. If you want more help, post here your plugins and config. Maybe we can help you.

Try diferent plugins and emu configs like Interpreter and Recompiler instead of VUrec. ;)

But how can Kaioshin Sama have the menu SSE2 with pcsx2 0.8.1 and athlon xp? Based on what he said "because everytime I try to use SSE2 or Pixel Shader the emu crashes on my computer" Plz give also your pcsx2 config and read Rules then post.

I think he uses Pcsx2 0.8 (non SSE2) with a downloaded Gsdx9 SSE plugin. If you have 0.8 and put the gsdx9 SSE plugin in the /plugins directory, then the emu will list it as a plugin regardless if you have SSE2 or not (I think it`s a bug). That`s the only way he could get the SSE menu without having SSE2.

I don't think your Athlon XP supports SSE2. (but you said that you coud use it, so..... )
Well, he can use the SSE2 version if he doesn`t have it with the use of that bug...that is, untill you get the error message every time you try to run a game.
To be sure that you have SSE2, just open the CPU options menu in pcsx2 and see if you can sellect VUrecs.
