I have no experience with PSX emulation. I have a game for the PSX but the disc is pretty badly scratched, so I was wondering if the game would function properly if I made an iso of it. My game freezes occasionally when I do certain things (cast a certain spell, for example) so I was wondering if the disc errors (presumably from the scratches?) would transfer over to the iso. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. Well right now I'm playing the game on my PS2. I haven't tried to make an iso yet. The game on my PS2 is not completely functional (like I said, it freezes when I cast a certain spell) so I'm wondering if it's worth it to try to play it on my computer.

It is a psone game (Legend of Legaia), I just play it on my PS2.

The disc is scratched kinda badly. I was not able to play the game on my old Playstation One, and I tried it one day when I got my PS2 and it worked there.

Well you could buff that baby if you buy one of those things, they work rather well from what I hear. and from my experiance some drives read disks with scratches....or just disk in general better...so you could try different drives? but since you have problems in your playstation, I doubt your comptuer drive will read it any better.
