maybe you should've researched harder before posting this.

Its not so much that its fake, as it is that it only emulates 1/4 of Dx10.

well if it emulates 1/4 of directx 10 then its not fake (exemple pcsx2 emulate 1/2 of ps2 games ;) its not fake is it :D )

and it don't trash directx 9.0c cauz its installed on my cp now and it work fine there is even a DirectX Changer which Allows changing DirectX version between 9c and 10

you do realize that even if you managed to get xp to state that dx10 is installed, you will also have to go into your drivers and force it to use dx10 and if memory serves, does xp's drivers even have any dx10 stuff in them? i highly doubt it since there would be no need since dx10 natively does not work on xp and including the dx10 parts in dx9 only drivers would be a waste of space.

please correct me if i am wrong though but seriously, can not enable dx10 in xp if the drivers do not have it as well, its like running .net 3.5 code on a pc with only .net 2.0 installed. though i am not 100% sure on all of this though :D.

This is ridiculous, there's Windows 7 already. Enjoy your future problems until you reinstall DX, or maybe all your OS.

Its fake because its NOT DX10.

it is a OpenGL wrapper. which maps Dx to opengl.

You can't force Windows vista drivers on XP period, so you won't get Dx10 anyway.

I like some of the effects that dx10 gives. Different lighting and stuff that in dx9 just kinda looks ugly or bland but in dx10 looks amazing. I used to have a few comparison pics on the same card in XP and Vista with dx10. quite a difference

yea, either get vista or windows 7 and be happy, its pointless to even try to think you can use dx10 in xp, drivers are not made to support it and never will be. as i said before and someone else mentioned, vista drivers do not work in xp, even if dx10 installed, the hardware would receive nothing telling it to use such features so you would be up the creek without a paddle, just update to a new version of windows and be done with it.

ROAD TO THE FUTURE!!!

Hey let's admit it...Windows XP IS about 8 years old heh...you cannot make the newest stuff to work on it anymore...well not all of it.

I remember when I started using XP for the first time...it was year 2004.I didn't like it in the beginning, but now I like it the most exactly as I did Windows 98 SE when I was using it.When I opened that XP tour the first time,I said WOOOW!!!And now Windows 7 is much bigger wow:D
But hey...why the hell would anyone want DirectX 10 on XP?????????DirectX 9.0c is still great if you ask me,especially if you have weak computer like I do xD xD xD.........:dead:

M$ would crush anyone who attempted to use DX10 on XP anyways. Really. Vista isn't so expensive nowadays if you know where to look, and it'll become even cheaper when 7 hits the shelves.

R.I.P XP and hello 7 IMO.
