Yeah, i know D3D7 is old and obsolete, but are there any good tutorial sites that still teach it in C/C++? All I ever get is VB :hdbash:

check msdn and try downloading DirectX SDK. Gamerdev forums has some tutorials too.

You mean the DX7 SDK? Been searching high and low for it. and no luck.

why learn DX7 when 9 is available ? anyways, DX9 should be backward compatible with the older versions.

Yeah, I know that. But the point is that I want to port some Direct3D7 games to Direct3D8 and 9. And besides, the DX9 sdk doesn't contain Dx7 apps. I know how to compile DX7 apps, but I still want to learn DX7 so I can know the differences of the two. And just because 9.0c is available doesn't make it better to use IMO.
